Last night we got our first snow! It's supposed to melt this weekend and then freeze again, but for now we can enjoy the lovely pure whiteness. These are photos I snapped this morning at school.

And from the train ride home. This photo was taken close to 3:00 P.M., when is the sun setting where you are..?
First off, thank you for sharing your experiences with us through your blog. I've found your posts both entertaining and interesting.
ReplyDeleteI like the look of the school that is shown in the first picture. Good to see that it's not just a boring, square of concrete like so many others. Snow has come late this year in Norway which suits me just fine. As long as it's here for Christmas day and goes away after new year, I'll be more than happy. If only this blasted darkness would go away as well. Come spring, it feels like it just gets a little bit easier to breathe as the sky brightens every day.
Anyways, thanks!
Brelle, thanks for commenting! The old campus is gorgeous with the red stone buildings. The newer buildings are in the functionalism style, and I'm not such a giant fan. I think the snow provides such a relief from the darkness, it doesn't feel so damn gloomy.
ReplyDeleteYep, digging that first snow here myself! I'm sure it'll get old, probably about the fifth time I slip on ice and bust a...sag. Hey, it's Norway! Bitching is therapeutic, of course, but it won't change the weather. Might as well just dig in there and find a reason to love it, like skiing! Oh, and good luck with exams and such, you're in the stretch run.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Here on the Minnesota/Canada border the sun set about 4:00 pm.
